Some basic nighttime habits can help kids and adults get to sleep... here are a few resources.


Establish "sleep hygiene" - good sleep and bedtime habits!

  • Make bedtime and wake up time consistent.

  • Room should be dark and cool.

  • Reserve bed for sleep, not playing or watching screens.

  • Avoid caffeine and big meals in the evening.

  • Bath time is a great way to relax and unwind.

  • Read a book, together or by yourself.

  • Keep screens out of the bedroom no matter what! (Sunnybrook Hospital, 2017)
